How to properly plant daffodils
It is correct to plant daffodils in the fall, when the soil temperature has reached values from +7 to +10 C. At this time, the bulb has time to take root, but does not germinate. It is important to carefully prepare the soil and remove all perennial weeds.
Before planting, the soil must be well fertilized. Suitable peat, humus, leaf soil or compost. Strictly according to the instructions, add complex or specialized fertilizers. The soil should be light, loose and water-intensive. Small bulbs need to be deepened by 10 cm, large ones by 10-12 cm. After planting, the surface must be leveled and compacted. The distance between the bulbs is at least 15 cm. In the first year, it is advisable to mulch the surface. This will help prevent freezing.
