Shortbread plum cake with tea — why not the perfect dessert? Prepare this insanely delicious treat with our simple and detailed recipe!
- 2 cups wheat flour;
- 200 g butter;
- 1 egg;
- 450-100 g plums;
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder;
- a third of a glass of sugar;
- a pinch of salt;
- vanilla sugar.
For the cake, we also need flour for dusting, baking paper and powdered sugar.
Cooking time — 30 minutes.
Baking time — 50 minutes.
How to cook:
Grind the butter to a crumb state and mix with a raw egg.
Pour flour, salt, sugar (regular and vanilla) into a bowl and mix. Add the butter and egg to it and mix again.
We send the baking powder to the resulting mixture and knead the dough.
We divide the dough into two lumps, one of which should be slightly larger than the second. Wrap them in cling film or foil. We send the larger one to the refrigerator for 30 minutes, and the smaller lump to the freezer.
Plums can be of any variety. The main thing is that they are ripe and easily separated from the bone. If fresh is not available, you can also use canned. The taste with canned food will not be as intense, but this is a great way out of the situation in the winter.
My plums, divide them into 6 slices.
Take the dough out of the fridge and freezer. We roll out a larger piece, using flour as a powder, so that the dough is not so sticky. The rolled out dough should completely cover the pan.
Lubricate the mold from the inside with oil. We cover the bottom with baking paper, put the dough into a mold.
We spread plum slices on the dough, sprinkle with crumbs of dough that was in the freezer.
Preheat the oven to 180℃ and bake the cake for 40-50 minutes.
We take out the finished plum cake from the oven, give it time to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy your meal!
